Pullean rouvan vaatteet - osa III

In English at the end of the post!

Clothes for the Chubby Lady

I'm writing in english for the first time in this blog, because I think it would be rude of me to comment foreign blogs if the person that I write a comment for couldn't understad what I write in my own blog.

This is my Chubby Lady, the first miniature doll I ever made. I've made several hand puppets (years ago), but not in miniature scale. I think she might become Molly Weasley at some point, when I make my very own The Burrow-dollhouse, but I'm not sure yet (plus I think she looks too young!), so she is Chubby Lady for the time being.

Her hands are too big and look bulky, her eyes have a glazed look, and one leg is longer than the other, but I still think she is pretty good for a first doll!

I've struggled with sewing her clothes for some time now, it's quite difficult as probably every miniaturist knows... I adore the Creager-dolls and those wonderfull clothes of theirs, and I just wonder how they (the Creagers, or is it just Judy?) manage. The dolls are so detailed and elaborate!

This dress of Chubby Lady is the second attempt, and I think it's fine so far. All the details are obviosly missing, some kind of belt, and a scarf or a cloak would be nice. And I just have to have a pointy hat for her, even if she can't wear it because of her bun. See more pictures of her, the text is only in finnish though, sorry about that.

Her hair has gone pretty messy, it's made of merino wool. I should probably glue the hair after the doll is completely finished, otherwise it will suffer damage during the process.
